Privacy Policy
Effective 2026. Written in plain English, because you should be able to read it.
1. Who we are
Luxury Share Homes is an independent second-home co-ownership advisory. We help buyers evaluate, shortlist and purchase shares in luxury second homes through vetted co-ownership partners. This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us.
This page is maintained by Luxury Share Homes and describes our own practices. It is not a certification, audit or legal advice.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the city or country you live in, the destinations you are interested in, your indicative budget, your buying timeline and anything you write in a message or form field.
Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as your browser type, device type, approximate region and the pages you visit on this site. We use this to understand which content is useful and to keep the site working correctly.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not ask you for financial account numbers, identity documents or payment details on this website.
3. Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation; to prepare a shortlist of homes that match what you have told us; to introduce you to a co-ownership partner or lender when you ask us to; to send you occasional updates about new homes, destinations and market insight where you have opted in; and to improve this website.
We rely on your consent (given when you tick the consent box on a form) and on our legitimate interest in operating an advisory business and answering the enquiries we receive.
4. Who we share it with
We share your details with second-home co-ownership partners, home providers and, where relevant, specialist lenders — but only to progress the enquiry you made. In particular, when your enquiry relates to a home offered through Pacaso, we pass your name, contact details and stated buying preferences to Pacaso so that the enquiry can be progressed; Pacaso then handles that information under its own privacy policy. In some cases our own team will contact you first, before or instead of an introduction.
We also use service providers who host this website, store our enquiry records and send our email or text messages, and who process data on our instructions.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated advertisers.
We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
5. Cookies, analytics and text messages
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning and to measure traffic. We use Google Analytics (and may add comparable analytics or advertising measurement tools in future), which sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate location and device type. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on; core parts of the site will still work.
Text messages: if you give us your mobile number and tick the consent box, we and our second-home partners may contact you by SMS or text about your enquiry. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and then delete or anonymise them. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will do so unless we are required to retain them.
7. How we protect it
Enquiry data is stored in access-controlled systems with encryption in transit, and access is limited to the people who need it to answer your enquiry. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to — but we do take reasonable, current measures to protect what you send us.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text message.
If you are in the EU, EEA or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law (CCPA/CPRA and similar): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and who we disclose it to, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of any 'sharing' for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
If you are in Canada (PIPEDA): you may access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to further contact.
To make a request, email us using the address on our contact page and tell us what you would like us to do. We will verify your identity where required and respond within the timeframe your local law allows.
9. International transfers
We work with buyers and partners across the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where that happens we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The effective date below always reflects the current version.
11. Partner and referral disclosure
Luxury Share Homes is an independent advisory. Our team includes a licensed real estate agent who is an affiliate of, and works with, Pacaso — we are not Pacaso, we do not speak for Pacaso, and Pacaso does not control this website. When you buy a home through an introduction we make, we may receive a referral fee or commission from our partner. This never adds to your purchase price and never changes our obligation to give you an honest assessment.
